5 Gallon Extract/Specialty Grain Recipe:

Malt/Specialty Grains Hops (pellets) Additives Yeast
6.6# Ireks Pilsner extract 3 oz Cascade (60 minutes) 1 Tbl. Yeast Nutrient Wyeast #2278, Czech Pils
3# Belgian Pils grain 2 Saaz (15 min) 1 tsp. Irish moss  
.25 # 20LV grain      

Directions:

Steep grains in nylon grain bags in 5 gallons of 155°F water for 30 minutes. Slowly raise the water temperature to 170° F. Remove grains from pot. Bring to a boil. Add extract and Cascade hop pellets.. Add Saaz hop pellets 45 minutes into the boil. Add yeast nutrient 45 minutes in to the boil, the Irish moss 50 minutes into the boil. Cool wort to approximately 70-75°F and pitch 1 pint of yeast starter. Ferment in primary for 4-7 days, secondary 7-10 days. Original Gravity 1.052 - Final Gravity 1.012. Percent Alcohol 5.4. Prime with 1 cup of light dry malt before bottling.

Comments:

This beer had poor head retention and turned out a shade too dark for style. Add 0.25-0.5# Wheat grain to increase head retention.
